Playgroup

Playgroup at Hear and Say is an educational program run by an Early Childhood Teacher. At the Brisbane Centre, Playgroup is held once a week in term time, from 9:30am until 11:30am. All families who are enrolled at the Hear and Say Centre are welcome at Playgroup, including siblings who have normal hearing. It is a time for parents and children to learn through play and also provides a great opportunity to meet other families who attend Hear and Say.

 

There is always a group session for the sharing of books, songs, language-based games, imaginative play, creative dance and storytelling. Craft activities and other kindergarten-type activities are organised for optimum learning in areas of language, speech, cognitive, social, emotional and physical development. Taking craft items home encourages creativity, conversational language and a sense of achievement in completing a task.
